Notes

  1. I have tried to account different English pronunciations. Trust your intuition, and trust the name of the sound more than the IPA transliteration. Depending on your accent you might write "year" as ᛡᛁᚷᚱ, "poor" as ᛈᚩᚱ, and "Autumn" as ᚪᛏᛗ, and that is perfectly fine.
  2. The alternate runes for the Fricatives can be used to disambiguate their alternate sounds. This includes the voiced post-alveolar fricative, so "visions" could be ᚠ̣ᛁᚴᚳᚾᚴ.
  3. Always use after , , , , and . should be used everywhere else.
  4. (velar fricative) does not show up in its name because this sound is most rare in English. It is useful for loan words and certain dialects though.
